We had so many wonderful entries in the 2025 “Show Us Our Countertops” Contest that we’re still sharing the terrific kitchen projects! Here are some of the SpreadStone™ Mineral Select Countertop Kit projects that didn’t make the “winners circle” but were also exceptional that we want to share with you.
Project #1: Marjorie Walrath of Siera Vista, Arizona – Lodestone color. “After two years, I am still VERY happy with my countertops. They completely changed the look of my kitchen, which had old, worn out, bright red laminate tops.
I feel a special connection to this project because I did it myself and saved thousands of dollars. Plus I kept my old ugly countertops out of the landfill!”
Project #2: Donna Murphy of Star Prairie, Wisconsin – Oyster color. “I love my countertops. The finish is quite tough and I have not had any problems with them. It was easy to apply and fun to do!”
I feel a special connection to this project because I did it myself and saved thousands of dollars. Plus I kept my old ugly countertops out of the landfill!”
Project #3: Mary Lynn Van Eman of New Castle, Pennsylvania – Natural White color. “I’m extremely happy with the performance and outcome of how they turned out. The finish is professional and durable after over a year of daily use. Very outstanding product. I used this product on my Corian® countertops, and went from an odd shade of green to the Natural White. Can’t say enough … I’m very pleased.”
I feel a special connection to this project because I did it myself and saved thousands of dollars. Plus I kept my old ugly countertops out of the landfill!”
Project #4: Patricia Vitale of Tequesta, Florida – Natural White color. “My husband and I did this project together. We had so much fun and love the results of the countertops. Our friends are very impressed when they come over. The product is terrific.”
I feel a special connection to this project because I did it myself and saved thousands of dollars. Plus I kept my old ugly countertops out of the landfill!”
Project #5: Carolyn Davis of Graceton, Pennsylvania – Canyon Gold color. We have an old historic (1889) home. We covered the 1970s white speckled countertops with the SpreadStone product, added a black backsplash and painted the cabinets to reflect a more traditional, timeless look. Since our countertops are not standard sizes, replacing them would have been very expensive. The Daich Coatings kit was the perfect solution. We even covered the portable dishwasher butcher-block top and the top of the radiator to match. We love it all!”
