SpreadStone™ Project Buying Guide

SpreadStone™ is a versatile pre-mixed stone coating that adds outstanding beauty and durability to all kinds of interior and exterior surfaces.

Get the look natural stone or ceramic tile — at a fraction of the cost of the real thing.

1. PRIME IT

Textured Primer locks into the concrete. Creates an optimal installation surface for SpreadRock.
Coverage: 160 – 200 sq.ft. per gallon, depending on smoothness of surface and application thickness.
Let dry for 1-2 hours.
**Use only DAICH primer. Do not substitute.

2. SPREADSTONE IT

Apply two coats of SpreadStone™.
Let dry for 1-2 hours between coats. Coverage will vary with roughness of surface and application thickness.

3. SEAL IT

Application of a sealer or clear coat is the last of SpreadStone’s three-step coating system. This stage adds a protective barrier to dirt, water, chemicals and general traffic.

Coverage Per 1 gallon

Thin skim-coats: up to 130 sq.ft.

Light texture coats: 70 to 100 sq.ft.

Heavier texture coats: 45 to 70 sq.ft.

Coverage will vary with roughness of surface and application thickness.

Coverage Per 3 gallons

Thin skim-coats: up to 420 sq.ft.

Light texture coats: 240 – 300 sq.ft.

Heavier texture coats: 135 – 195 sq.ft.

For sponge highlights, quarts or gallons are usually sufficient. Coverage will vary with roughness of surface and application thickness.
