He thought it was higher than he wanted to pay for a coating for his patio. The original owners had painted the concrete pad green to match the house trim. Unfortunately, they did not prep the pad well, because a few years after Eddie and his wife purchased the home, the paint began to bubble. While power washing the patio, the bubbles started peeling and produced a very ugly surface.<\/p><p>A big challenge for Smith was he needed to find a product that was easy to work with, since he has Parkinson\u2019s Disease. Once he reviewed the SpreadRock materials and videos, he had confidence he could tackle the project.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-996c875 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"996c875\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-439cdfa elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"439cdfa\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Spreading it On\n<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-0bcd5b5 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"0bcd5b5\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1c05111 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"1c05111\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>For his next step, Smith applied the SpreadRock product in the Sandstone color he chose for the patio. He actually sat on a stool while spreading out the product (due to his disease) and says he had fun with the easy application. Once dried, he applied TracSafe\u00ae Anti-Slip Sealer to the project.<\/p><p>\u201cWhat energized me was seeing how nice it was going to look when completed,\u201d says Smith. \u201cEspecially knowing how ugly this patio was before. The SpreadRock gave it a complete transformation. As a DIYer, he feels he used more of the product than might have been required, which led him to purchase additional SpreadRock and sealer toward the end of the project.<\/p><p>Another tip is not to \u201cmake due\u201d with materials on hand. Invest in the tools needed and recommended for the job.<\/p><p>\u201cRather than purchasing the proper $20 handle for the squeegee, I used the handle on one of my garage brooms,\u201d says Smith. \u201cIt broke off and wasn\u2019t flexible enough, not allowing me to spread the coating as thin as recommended. So, this is probably part of the reason why I needed to buy more product. It was a \u2018live and learn\u2019 experience.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-2574f1b e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"2574f1b\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-9103fd9 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"9103fd9\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>\u201cHowever, the important thing is the end result. My wife loves the refinished patio and that\u2019s all that really counts for me! That\u2019s saying a lot considering she didn\u2019t complain about the cost after seeing the finished patio.
